This is an American Bald Eagle, frozen in time while catching a big fish. I’m sure he has a favorite tree branch high on the bluffs, where he will rip the flesh from this unlucky swimmer. I have seen this many times through our scope. Most often seen on the coldest days of Winter, it is a bloody scene played out on the steep bluffs over the Tennessee River. The approximate dimensions are 9.5″ tall x 9″ wide x 8″ long with a weight of 8 pounds. The four tone patina is chemically applied and has aged beautifully.
