This is a genuine fired and hammered bronze gong from Southeast Asia, seldom seen outside of Temples. This is not a factory made, flat, steel or toy gong. The weight is approximately 10 pounds and includes a hanging rope and custom mallet. Few people know how to make these and they are not easy to find. There is great pride among the few who know this art. There are only a few Gongs of this great size anywhere on earth! The sound is BOOMING and you can actually feel the shock waves and see the movement of the Gong as it explodes! This is the genuine article and the sound is loud and beautiful. Bronze gongs sound much richer than inferior iron gongs. We only sell Bronze gongs and Bronze bells. The custom striker is included.
*** (NOTE) This 21′ diameter Gong has the traditional painted design applied by Monks but we can also do custom patina work at no additional charge.
